Tulipwood Armoire
This French 19th century finely made armoire has a foundation wood in oak and the veneer in tulipwood with kingwood framing of the doors and body. An inlay in the form of a shell in the front upper right and left corners are skillfully applied over the curved doors. The sides of the armoire are gently serpentine. Long steel hinges hold the doors in place and the interior has saw-tooth supports for easy positioning of the shelves. Two well finished oak shelves come are on the interior. It is in good condition.
