Unkoku Taeki from Mathias Komor
This 6 panel brush painted screen is by 17th century Japanese painter, Unkoku Taeki, 1591-1644 of Aki (Hiroshima). Painted on rice paper and silk edged, it is mounted on a sturdy wooden frame. The back is a decorative mottled black paper with a label from the Mathias Komor Gallery of New York, known for antiquities. Each individual panel is 24” wide, the end panels, 25” wide.
